I’m a part-time journalist and full-time event planner living in a tiny town on the Oregon coast.
I grew up in a suburb of St. Paul, Minn., and I’ll always be a Midwest girl at heart. Stricken with a serious case of wanderlust, however, I left the ‘Land of 10,000 Lakes’ when I was 18 to attend Biola University in La Mirada, Calif. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in print journalism and a minor in biblical and theological studies. As a senior, I was chosen as the “Outstanding Journalism Student of the Year.”
After college, I moved to Washington, D.C., to cover national politics. Through my work in journalism and social media, I met my husband, Henry, an Oregon politician. We dated long-distance for eight months before Henry popped the question. I moved to Oregon shortly thereafter.
I love writing, exploring, asking questions and meeting new people. When I’m not planning events or typing away on my computer, you can find me reading, drinking coffee or going on adventures with Henry.
